Wifi calling not functioning
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.
When I try to activate my WiFi calling option it only turns on and doesn't do anything else. I've wiped the cache and reset the phone. I have limited to no service in my area and use wifi calling to contact family. This issue happened after I recently updated my phone via the software update option in the settings.
Help with this issue would be appreciated.

Have you checked to see that enhanced LTE services is on? If it is already on they try and toggle it off then back on again.
It's under settings, connections, mobile networks.

Are you a prepaid customer? Prepaid has not yet activated Wifi calling.

That doesn’t really determine prepaid, as prepaid also offers “monthly” plans. Please post the name of your plan, it’s on your bill.
If you can’t enable advanced calling features on AT&T, you either are not in an HD voice area, or don’t have an HD voice enabled plan - which usually means prepaid.

and is paying for 6 + devices on a 15gb monthly with unlimited talk and
text. I dont have the bill in front of me to give confirmation, but I know
that I was previously, by this I mean since I first day I received the
phone, I was able to use wifi calling as long as I was connected to a
strong wifi network.
AS for being in an HD area I was able to use Wi-Fi calling when I was at my
school last semester. Still living in the same building and room which I
was able to use wifi calling in. So i highly doubt I somehow lost the
ability over the span of one month at home

You said in the beginning that this problem only started after an update, so has nothing to do with the type of account you have with AT&T.
The best would be to call 611 from the affected phone and to get the folks there to check into it for you.
When you wiped the cache can you confirm that you did this from recovery using this method

I had to use the volume buttons to highlight the wipe cache option and them press the power button to perform the wipe.
I will have to try the 611 option you mentioned and see if they can help pinpoint the problem.
