So I received instructions from AT&T to unlock my Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930A:
Unlock instructions:
1. Power off the device and remove the SIM card.
2. Power on the device.
3. Enter #0111*, the unlock code, and #. The device cycles off and back on.
Note: You are allowed five attempts to unlock before your device permanently locks to the AT&T network.
So, when I complete step 2 (power on device), there is nowhere to enter the stuff in step 3. Am I supposed to open the phone dialer? Because I did, entered the stuff, pressed dial, and nothing happened. I'm wondering if I need to put in the new non-AT&T sim card before powering it back on? Please advise.....

Hello @pladletuce.
That's a great question.
Power down your device > Remove ATT SIM > Insert New SIM > Power Device > Continue steps..
We are sorry for the confusion. Please let us know when you have successfully unlocked your SM-G930A!
