Unlock a device on an active at&t account
Bought a samsung galaxy s5 active device from someone second hand and was told it could be used with my active net10 sim card , but now that I'm trying to unlock it thru the at&t website, it's saying that I can't submit an unlock request because it's coming back as one of the phones that is on a regestered device list on another's active at&t account

Hello @Angiemarie74.
We’re always eager to help unlock eligible devices. However, for the security of our customers, we cannot access their account without their permission. You will need to contact the original owner of the phone to have them ensure their device is eligible to be unlocked.

Hi - I stumbled on this thread.. while breaking my head on how to unlock.. here is the situation.
I bought iPhone 11 from Samsclub.. with verizon network.. they handed the phone to me and not inserted sim.
I paid off completely with verizon and cancelled the account.. all good.
After coming home.. my daughter inserted her h2o wireless simcard. Apparently h2o uses AT&T network and now it's locked to ATT.
Tried their device unlock portal and chatted with rep's they do not know what to do.. because I have no contract with ATT and no account with ATT.
Verizon told me that this phone is not on their network so they cannot help me.
Samsclub cannot take the phone back because it's locked to ATT.
I'm trying to get ATT unlocked.. but no one is able to help me.
what should I do ?

H2O will have to unlock it is the problem and they do not take responsibility for anything

Yeah your in a grey area since you did not insert a ATT sim card its on H2O. You also used a phone that was subject to the apple flex retailer policy. So it locked to the first sim card installed. You may have to file a FCC complaint against H2O.
