Unlock Galaxy s7 active

I tried to submit a request for this phone which has only been used for 1 day back in June 2016 and has been shut off in the box since, and it is telling me I can not unlock for 14 days because it was recently upgraded???what??how can that happen?

Hi @Pieper28!

I definitely apologize for that happening when you are submitting the unlock request! I can imagine how frustrating that can be!

Are you currently on the AT&T Next installment plan for the S7 Active or was it purchased at full retail cost?

There are a few general requirements when trying to unlock a device:

  • The device must be designed for use on, and locked to, the AT&T wireless network.
  • All the device’s service commitments and installment plans are completed, and all early termination fees are paid in full.
  • The device is not currently active on a different AT&T customer’s account.
  • If you performed an early upgrade, you must wait the 14-day buyer’s remorse period before you can request to unlock your previous device.
  • If the device was activated with a service commitment or installment plan, your account must be active for at least 60 days, with no past due or unpaid balance.

If you feel that you have met the above requirements, you can submit a request once again at the AT&T Device Unlock Portal.

Let me know how it goes! I’m here if you have any other questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach back out! Take care and have an awesome week!

Did you pay full price?  How was it purchased?

I did just pay it in full, but we cancelled our plan the next day that we got it because of service issues, this phone was my daughters and had a little scatch on it so they would not take it back, so I had to pay for it. I did get the unlock code but now I can not activate it with my current carrier, why not? They said that att keeps blocking them as a carrier. I just want to use what I paid for, any help would be appreciated

Have you had the chance to unlock the phone with the unlock code you received? To enter in the unlock code, it will require using a SIM card from the carrier that you are looking at having service with.

The unlock steps for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active once you have the unlock code is as follows:

  1. Power off the device, remove the battery, and insert a non-AT&T SIM card.
  2. Re-insert the battery and power on the device with non-AT&T SIM.
  3. The device displays “Enter the device unlock code.”
  4. Enter the unlock code.
  5. Press OK.

Let me know if you’re still having trouble with getting the phone swapped over to the new carrier. Have an amazing rest of the week!

If you received the unlock code and unlocked it, it will work with any compatible network. ATT has done all they can do by sending you the code.

Hello. I sent a request to unlock my Samsung S7 Active three times. And three times received a positive hole and got the same code three times to untie the operator AT & T. But the code does not fit! How can the code not be approached if it was sent to me by AT & T three times ??? Terer inscription was replaced (photo attached). I beg you, help me. What should I do now??? I bought the phone for almost 2 months, but I can not use it

You cannot remove a battery from a S7 Galaxy Active. The case is sealed.

The instructions online from AT&T are inaccurate for the S7 Series including the Active. They tell you to remove the battery. There is not removable battery Since the battery is sealed that is not an option. I see no other correct instructions to follow once you have the unlock code for this device. How about someone from AT&T post an accurate set of instructions?

Put the other carriers sim in and the box to unlock the device will show up. There is a dailer code you can use also but I'm not on a PC so I can't google it for you.
