Software update

My Samsung phone did an update last night.  It gave a brief message about using advanced messaging which I said ok to since I had already been using it.  This morning when I went to send a group message it made me turn on my data before I could even send he message.  I have shared data and in order for me to not go over my usage I do not keep my data turned on all the time.  How can this problem be fixed.

Turn off advance messaging.

There are only two options in advance messaging and neither one of them
have to do with data.
#1 is "Share larger files, get read receipts and see when someone is
typing."

#2 is "Allow others to know when you read their message."

advance messages uses 4g LTE to send and receive texts.  By next year or the year after you will have no choice but to leave data on as there will be no 3g network as 5g and 4g LTE will be the norm.

And like I said turn advance messaging off which is number 1..  See if that makes it so you can send messages with data off.
