I have 4 of these tablets, 2 updated to android 7.1 but two of them are stuck on 6.0. Update says they are up to date but they are not updating to 7.1!

I can understand wanting to get the latest update, not only for the features, but for the security as well.  I’m sorry to hear your device still has not received it yet. Likewise, I would be happy to help you with this. 

 

Please make sure that your device is an AT&T branded device, and it is able to get an AT&T cellular signal. If you are able to check both of the requirements off please try our Troubleshooting & Resolve tool. Make sure the correct make and model is selected, and then choose Software for the issue.

Hello, my device won't connect to the mobile network without the upgrade to android 7.1. That is why i need the update. I have an active SIM but it can't connect. My local ATT store is unable to connect the device. Like I mentioned before my other two devices upgraded just fine. Not sure why these two will not.

Hey there! Wanting to have your devices up-to-date is extremely important, so let's get you the information you need.

 

To get more information about your device's software upgrades, use our ⁠Wireless Support section, scroll down to "Fix My Wireless", and click on "Software & Sync" under Setup.

Select the make and model of your device, and proceed as mentioned.
