Note 9 pie update

Im having trouble getting the new update. I know that my boyfriend has gotten the update on his and he has att. When i go to check for update  it says current software is up to date. How do i get the new update? And yes i am connected to wifi.

Hey guys,

The only solution is to go to the nearest uBreakiFix. I took my phone to best buy and they no longer have the ability to force an update. UBreakiFix is the new Samsung Care store you can take your phone to. You just walk in, tell them whats going on and they'll begin to force update your phone free of charge. It takes almost an hour but since i took it to them ive had no problem updating my phone. Hope this helps @Beachgirlforeva  @CruiseDreamer

We're here to help! To complete the software update on your Samsung Galaxy Note 9, follow these steps: 

  1. From the device home screen, swipe down from the Notification bar and tap the Settings icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Software update, then Check for updates.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

If for any reason you are having any issues completing the update with the steps provided, visit our Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool, select your device make and model then Software Update to begin troubleshooting. Ive already done this and my phone continues to tell me that my current
software is up to date. It still hasnt updated to the latest version of
android.

Yes 3 different times and it only told me how to back up my data, which i
have done through google and samsung accounts, in 2 different ways and also
that it couldnt send the update at the time. Thats how i ended up on the
forum because it was the last option on the troubleshooting page.

I am having the same issue. I have an att branded note 9 used on cricket wireless. When I check the update it states currently up to date already. How do I get my note 9 to update?

This is a pretty common problem apparently - not sure why AT&T keeps thinking they can help you fix it.

I have a Note 9 bought in Dec 2018. It had Oct 2018 software and has never gotten an over the air update.

 

This is all you have to do:

 

Go to the Samsung site and find a walk in repair center near you: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/?product=N0002100

Take your phone in to the repair center and ask them to manually update your phone.  I took mine in this morning.  Took them 20 min and now I am up to date with Pie.

I have 2 note 9s on my account, 1 has updated the other has not.  I have done the troubleshoot and still no update.
