Note 9, 5GE full bars speed test

Hello,  I have a note 9 from ATT. Its updated and never dropped or waterlogged. I have hard reset the phone and still struggling with this FAKE 5G. 

 

 I seem to get max speeds on 4g for upload and download.  But anytime, infact everytime I get full bars with 5Ge my speeds drop to nothing,  no matter where I am. 

Screen shot posted .. no one representative has been able to figure it out and the phone has 0 problems. 

Any ideas. ?

Hello @Calijayson79,

 

We can definitely provide you with some troubleshooting steps for when you're experiencing issues with your mobile data connection. Please follow these steps to reset your network settings:

 

1. Select the Settings application.

2. Tap General Management

3. Tap Reset

4. Choose Reset Network Settings

5. Tap Reset Settings to confirm

6. Reboot your device.

 

If you're still having any issues once that's completed, we recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to fix this. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution. Let us know if this helps.

I wanted to say thank you for the response. But I'm still having horrible
speedtest upload and download issues with this 5Ge
Seems I only have excellent service when I have 3 to 4 bars on 4G, anytime
i have 5Ge regardless of bars the sevice is barely 1mb up or down. I have
taken my phone into ATT stores and the only help I get is buy maybe a new
phone if I want..
They cant figure it out. I have the note 9 500 gig model. Sm-N960u

Hello @Calijayson79,

 

Allow us to lend a helping hand. 5G only works in very limited parts of 19 cities. This means that coverage is not as reliable as 4G because it only works in select areas. Follow the link provided for more information. Thank you.

I am also having the same exact problem.  I used to get some coverage at work and now nothing.  My phone is constantly in 5Ge with 1 or no bars and the phone is useless.  Meanwhile my colleagues are using their phones with no issues on Verizon, t mobile, boost mobile, etc.    I just spoke with support and they are reviewing it as apparently there might be an issue with the south satellite.  All I know is I need service and fast.  It's not fair others are paying half of what I am and they have service.  Eagerly waiting....
