My phone just decided to update and turned off while I was using it. You could at least have included code in the update to start the first time it was plugged in and idle after the device-initiated update was triggered. I'm just glad I wasn't in the middle of nowhere with my GPS abruptly switched off.

I'd like to roll back. I regret the update immediately. The speach center continually stops. It reset itself twice already. Very slow and unresponsive. Media volume control went away, and came back after a reset. I'm looking forward to see what else good wrong... (sarcasticly)

AT&T Video Calling is a pretty great feature that was included with the Marshmallow update on some of the Android devices.

Video Call is built into select Video Call-capable devices and requires an account that has been set up for AT&T HD Voice. Both parties must also be in HD Voice coverage to use Video Call.

Possible reasons you can't make a Video Call even though your phone is Video Call capable:

  • The Video Call setting is turned off on your phone or on the phone you are calling.
  • You or the person you're calling aren't set up for HD Voice service.
  • You or the account holder has blocked AT&T Video Call on your mobile number or that of the mobile number you are calling.
  • Either the Standard Data or Enhanced 4GLTE services settings are turned off on your phone or the phone you're calling.
  • The person you're calling doesn't have a Video Call-capable phone or declined your request to Video Call.
  • Either you or the person you're calling is not in an AT&T HD Voice coverage area.

Current Video Call restrictions

  • At this time Video Call is only available between AT&T customers using Video Call capable devices within AT&T HD Voice coverage areas.
  • Video Call is not available internationally.

To make and receive an AT&T Video Call:

  1. To make a Video Call, from the home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  2. From the Dial pad, enter the desired number, then tap the Video Call icon. The Video Call icon displays in blue if the person has the capability to receive a Video Call and grey if the person does not have the capability to receive a Video Call.
  3. To switch between front and rear cameras tap Switch camera. To stop sharing your image, tap the screen, select Switch call type, then tap Turn my camera off. To share your image, tap the screen, select Switch call type, then tap Show me.
  4. To add people to the Video Call, tap the screen, then tap Add call.
  5. To switch from a Video Call to a voice call, tap the screen and select CALL TYPE, then tap Voice call.
  6. To switch from a voice call to a Video Call, tap CALL TYPE, then tap Video Call. The person you are on the phone with will have the option to accept or reject the change from an HD Voice Call to a Video Call.
  7. To accept an incoming Video Call, touch and drag the Video Call icon to the right. To accept an incoming Video Call as a voice call, tap and drag the Voice Call icon in any direction.
  8. To reject an incoming Video Call, touch and drag the Reject call icon to the left. To reject and respond with a text message, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then tap the desired message.
  9. If you do not want to receive Video Calls, you can turn Video Call off from the phone key pad by tapping MORE > Settings > Video Call.

Video Call is turned on by default. When Video Call is off, incoming Video Calls will appear as voice calls.

Hope this helps and gets you back to enjoying your Note 5 device! Thank you for being a part of the AT&T Family!

Just updated to marshmallow yesterday on my note 5 and I've noticed wifi does not stay connected. Other devices not running Android 6.0.1 have no problems staying connected to wifi. Also noticing my battery is being drained very quickly since updating. Any help for these 2 issues?

I was able to get my wifi Internet to start working by turning off the Power Save feature. I don't get why it conflicts but now that it's off, everything is working fine on my phone.

I'm having the same issue. My Note 5 won't even see my wifi network.  The only way you can connect is by adding the network manually, but then if you turn off wifi or leave the area where your wifi broadcasts, you lose that connection (it doesn't remember it when you return), so I've been burning thru data without realizing it.  I spent SIX hours on the phone last Sunday with AT&T Mobility, AT&T Uverse (my ISP) and Samsung.  NOBODY was able to help.  AT&T sent a replacement device that worked, until the update was pushed through!  It's pretty lousy that you can't block the update from being pushed to your device, nor can you rollback to a time before the update was installed.  Oh - and I didn't mention that AT&T's tech support had me do a factory reset and then install as a new device, so I lost 90% of my data.  When I talked to Samsung, they had me reset to factory settings a second time.  Apparently after doing that, I can no longer get my data back since my phone was reset twice.  I cannot begin to explain how angry I am...
