I'm not very tech savvy. I just bought a new Samsung S8 today, with an AT&T plan to replace a broken phone. When I turn my mobile hotspot on, my computer has no problems connecting. When I try to connect with my Playstation 4, though, the connection doesn't go through. If I turn off my password and make the hotspot an open connection, the console connects but sets it as a NAT Type-3 Connection, which restricts most online play. Does anyone have a solution to this? My last phone's hotspot didn't have this problem at all.
Most mobile hotspots, and smartphones, do not support a UPnP routing option for PS4 Connectivity. You can upgrade a line to include the AT&T Nighthawk LTE Mobile Hotspot Router, which is UPnP friendly.
We hope this helps!
