Galaxy S8 Active showing text messages under wrong recipient.
Wife's Galaxy S8 Active is showing messages from recipient A under recipient G and vice versa. So far we have force closed the text message app, powered down the phone, waited a minute, and powered back up, then we did a regular restart. What the frick????

James, we finally figured it out. We had to change the clock settings to auto (not sure how that effects which name text messages show up under) and powercycled the phone again. Going on 2 days of proper functionality.

Hi, @TerryfromAR,
Let's take a look at this! Did the reset help? If not, look at the entries for both contacts. If something appears wrong, fix it, and, if not, go ahead and reenter the information for both. Let us know if this clears everything up.

Mine is already set to auto, but I'm still having the same issue.
I've done everything possible to correct it, even factory reset. Nothing helps.
I've added a few new contacts lately, and each time it takes the most recent conversation (my side only) and applies it to the new contact. Then it will take what I've sent the new contact and apply it to the conversation history of the next person I text. Also, if I send a text to a contact on my widgets, it wont show that text in my message list and will not show it in the conversation. It will take that text and apply it to the history of the next contact I text.
