Re: Galaxy Note 9 Updates

Well then forget it then, I don't care enough about the android pie
software update to deal with the At&t stores or the Samsung stores, they
both have terrible customer service support and are clueless on everything
it seems, I only contacted At&t about 7 times about the issue on the
software update and they kept giving me the same answer I should get the
update within 24 hours, which never happened, and I don't think Samsung
would be much help either, just wished Android could be easier and reliable
like Apple

Re: Galaxy Note 9 Updates

Ouch. I'm a Samsung lover til death. Amazing resolution and screen. For my
personal gaming def. But you hit home with Apple. Makes me think sometimes.
Would be nice if Android could be more stable like Apple

Re: Galaxy Note 9 Updates

Anyone have a fix for not being able to get the 9.0 PIE update when you follow the correct posted steps?

Re: Galaxy Note 9 Updates

I had the same issue and followed most of the steps found on different forums. The process that helped me to get the updates was to swap the ATT Sim card with Verizon Sim (I borrowed my friend's Verizon SIM) and restart. Once all the updates were completed, swapped the Sim back to ATT Sim card, viola, phone switched to latest ATT firmware.

First, when the phone is restarted with Verizon Sim, the phone firmware will get updated to Verizon specific firmware, then checking for updates will get all the updates (phone gets updated one by one with all the updates released so far) to the phone. Depending on how far back the phone firmware is, it would take anywhere from 20 mins to few hours.

After restarting the phone with Verizon sim, it took about 5 minutes for the phone to settle down, then checking for updates helped.

One caveat: ATT apps/settings may need to be updated again like VoLTE, voice over WiFi, my ATT and such.
