My back and app history buttons are not lit. How can I fix this?
My back button and app history button on the bottom of my Samsung s7 are not lit. I found a suggestion to go into Accessabilty, dexterity and turn on the Assistant Menu. Then a box appears that has two pages of icons. I hit the two I want, go back but nothing changes. Suggestions?

Hi, @BMAC1206,
We'd love to help with this. Is your S7 is Power Saver mode? If you're not sure, you can find out by going into Apps>Settings>Battery icon. From here, you should be able to see if Power saving mode has been toggled on. If it is, toggle it off and see if the Back button and the App History button stays backlit longer and if it lights up immediately when you bring up your screen. Let us know if this helps.

Hello, @BMAC1206
Thanks for your post. We will be happy with help with your buttons.
How long have you been experiencing the issue? Have you restarted your phone? Is your software up to date?

I can not say how long the two buttons have not illuminated. I think for many months. I have turned off my phone. When it comes back on the two lower lights do illuminate, but then they go back out. My software updates are current. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply. Safe Mode allows your phone to run as normal but restricts third-party apps & services. We use Safe Mode to help isolate issues on Android devices.
To activate Safe Mode, hold the Power off until the Power icon appears, then press and hold Power icon until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Select Safe Mode to confirm. Your S7 will power off and restarts in Safe Mode.
Once in Safe Mode you will see it in the lower right hand corner of your screen. If your buttons work in Safe Mode then a 3rd party app may be to blame. You can check out App Troubleshooting for step-by-step instructions.
Please try Safe Mode and post back to let us know when you ID the issue.
