APN Settings for Samsung Note 4 SM-N910A.

I just picked up a new AT&T Note 4 and cannot send MMS, or use my data at all.

I was wondering if anyone had the correct APN settings for this phone. I have tried 4 different ones on the internet and none of them work either.

Hello @BurtSherry!

Thank you for reaching out the Community Forums! I can totally understand how important it is to be able to connect to your mobile data. It will be my pleasure to provide you information to correct this problem.

If you are using an AT&T device, it should already have the correct settings to connect to our network. If this is the case, please use our AT&T Troubleshoot & Resolve tool, which provides an excellent guide to resolve this type of issues. Make sure to select your phone’s make and model > Service/Network > Internet and follow the steps.

In the event this is a compatible non-AT&T device, please click on this link to verify the correct APN and MMS data connection settings. Once there, you will also find step-by-step instructions to locate and program these new settings.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. I hope you have a fantastic day!

As this did fix my problem I have to thank you, but on the same note I don't feel these setting are the newest and best for the Note 4.

I am in a coverage area according to the map is maxim service and I have 1 out of 5 bars.

Hello again @BurtSherry,

The APN’s linked above are the latest ones available, and should provide a device with a 4G/LTE data signal. However, this may not help with service bars.

Signal can vary depending on quite a few things. Terrain, valleys, buildings and landscape can all affect your service. If your signal is poor in your residence, it could be due to building material. If it’s poor outside, it could be due to the terrain. If one device is getting signal and one is not, it could vary based off your devices antennae.

I highly recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool again! Instead of internet, choose your service issue. Make sure to select your make and model, and you will be provided with personalized troubleshooting!

I hope this information helps you. Please let me know if you continue to have issues. We want to ensure we get everything resolved!

AT&T is all full of it. They will tell you your phone from another carrier will work with their network. All they care about is to get you to pay. Especially if you have a Verizon phone even if unlocked and is an LTE compatible unit. AT&T uses a totally different network and band from Verizon and you will always have problems with mms and sometimes to connect to their network or at times very poor data. Here is an APN setting you can try:

Network Mode: LTE/GSM/UMTS ; Network Operator: AT&T ; ACCESS POINT NAME: AT&T ; APN: phone ; MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net ; Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net ; Message port: 80 MCC 310 MNC 410 ; Authentication Type: PAP ; APN Type: default,mms,supl ; APN Protocol: IPv4 ; APN Roaming protocol: IPv4 ; Bearer: LTE ; Mobile virtual network: none

This should help with mms and will use 3G and H network via wifi and will connect to AT&T LTE.
