SiriusXM app stops playing music
After the Marshmallow update this morning (5-18-16) my SiriusXM app stops playing music once the screen times out. I have turned on the app's override feature but this leaves the screen on which drains the battery. It was not doing this prior to the update.
I also have an alarm icon that won't go away, there are no alarms set, this is also post update.

Hi @wimmerb
Thank you for posting your concerns. I’m sorry to hear you are having multiple issues with your phone since the Marshmallow update. We can help!
With the Sirius XM app please ensure it is up to date. You can do this by going to Google Play>settings>My Apps & Games and allow any updates that are available.
If there is no update available, try uninstalling the app, restarting your phone and reinstalling the app.
For these steps, Please go to our Device How-To Center , select the make and model of your phone, then click the tutorials tab. In the left column, click on Apps & Web. You’ll see a link you can select for both remove an app and download apps & games.
For the alarm issue, please try force stopping the clock/alarm app on the phone by going to settings>applications and tapping on clock, then force stop.
Once you’ve done that, please restart your phone.
If either of these fail to resolve this, you’ll want to back up your data and factory reset the phone.
For these steps, please go back to the Device How-To Center and in the left hand column, you’ll find steps to back up the phone under backup and restore and reset steps under troubleshooting and reset device.
If you continue to have problems with the Sirius XM app, I would recommend reporting this to the app developer.
If you are unable to resolve the alarm problem by the steps listed above, please private message me and provide your name and a good contact number.
Hope this helps!

It has everything to do with the optimization for battery saving. It shuts off Pandora and other streaming after a few minutes.
How to fix:
(the fix is for Pandora, but applies to Spotify, XM, or any other streaming app.)
