Samsung S8 Notification Bar Issue

My notification bar is always dropping down (sometimes intermittently) when I am using the Samsung S8 without me having to pull it down or receiving notifications. It is becoming quite annoying because every few seconds I have to drag it back up so that I am able to use the phone. Has someone else encountered the same issue?

Hi @wlfoff,

I am sorry you are having trouble with your notification bar. I am pleased to help with this issue.

We definitely want your phone to work properly. I am going to suggest wiping the cache partition, since this would be a software issue. Please follow the directions below to wipe the cache partition.

1. Turn off the device.

2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.

3. When the Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).

4. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight “wipe cache partition.”

5. Press the Power key to select.

6. Press the Volume down key to highlight “yes” and press the Power key to select.

7. When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.

8. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Please let me know if you  have any questions.

Have a fantastic rest of your day!

Hi Geovanni,

Unfortunately wiping the cache didn't fix the issue :(.

After I rebooted the device, the problem persisted. What is weird is that sometimes it goes several hours without any issues than several hours with issues. It's not something consistent.
