When I unlock my phone, it says the code is incorrect

I have received my unlock code from at&t and when I put in all the information it says the code was incorrect. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.  Here are the instructions that I received.

Unlock instructions:

1. Power off the device and remove the SIM card.

2. Power on the device.

3. Enter #0111*, the unlock code, and #. The device cycles off and back on.

Is there supposed to be spaces or do we use the comma's.  Never had a problem trying to unlock my phone before.

Hi @Shawn.brown! Thanks for reaching out to the community for assistance!

Lets help get your device unlocked and active!

Please access our Unlock Code Instructions Portal  and select which brand you currently have, and follow the instructions by entering the code exactly as required. Please know that after 5 unsuccessful unlock attempts, the device would permanently lock to the AT&T network.

Let us know if you still require assistance, and you have a great evening!
