Hey there @Abc12348,
We would be glad to provide insight to the unlocking process!
In order to unlock a device, it does have to meet our Device Unlock Requirements. Once they have been met, you can submit the device unlock request through our Unlock Portal.
If you have any further issues, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Hello @Abc12348,
There will still be a waiting period, strictly because of our policies on device unlocks. You can view more information about this on our Device unlock info page. Here, you can find out what's required in order to unlock your device. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Yeah I'm well aware of the unlocking process. I have read others experiencing the same issue with the same phone.

I think the phones samsung sold have a bad list of unlock codes because I keep reading about this problem.. as per ATT policy you are suppose to have to wait 14 days before they will unlock the phone from time of purchase. Which is why this is all so hinkey

Ive seen several posts like this. I’m also thinking something is wrong on the Samsung end.
Even if the code is correct, it shouldn’t be valid until after the buyers remorse.
@GLIMMERMAN76 I know how iPhones unlock, by connecting with Apple servers. The unlock is actually on Apples end. But I don’t know how android works, can you enlighten?

the code you got was no good. Contact Samsung as they will have to warranty the device because the unlock codes dont work

Although not at all clear in their so called device unlock eligibility literature the phone must be at least two weeks old ( since day of activation meaning imei must be updated on your att account) Samsung has nothing to do with it. The unlock code should work then . After the experience I understand why Samsung's trade in conveniently gives you 15 days to ship the trade in phone . Hope this helps. I ended up returning and forgoing the $350 off and buying the unlocked
