It can be confusing to have your phone reset whenever you try to use certain apps. It will be my pleasure to help!
One thing like it could be a software glitch in the phone. Please go into Settings > Apps/Applications > All > Facebook App > Force Stop > Clear Cache > Go back to All > Email App > Force Stop > Clear Cache > Reboot the phone.
