Galaxy S8 email

The settings doesn't have a download by days such as 30 days. It only has download by number such as 25. When I delete the 25 it downloads 25 more. I have about 5,000 emails on my server so it keeps syncing. Any ideas?

Hi @jhvest!

Having email on the go is such a great function of smartphones, but not when the phone starts getting buried in messages.  I would be happy to check into the settings for you.

When trying to define how many emails are received to the device, I always recommend setting your sync schedule to manual.  This can be done by going into Email > Menu > Settings > Sync schedule > Set sync schedule > Manual.  This will keep the phone from being inundated while you adjust it.

When you are in the settings menu, you are going to want to look for an option which says Period to Sync Email.  This would let you define how far into the past the messages would be added to your phone.  You can check out the steps with a great how-to by visiting our Device Support Center for the S8.

I hope this helps control the email.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for your reply. There is no Period to Sync Email. That is exactly the problem.

Not an option.  Have used  Verizon  for many  years and need the history.
