How can I adjust the reception range of the WiFi router?

I would like to reduce (if not shut off altogether) the range of the internet WiFi router that came with my Uverse TV/Internet package. Since I do not have any wireless deices -- and my neighbors do -- it makes sense to close off this function.

Any pointers? Can I do this myself or does this require a service call?

You can turn-off or reduce the power on your RG.  I'll include screen shots for the 2WIRE 3x0x RG's, if you have a Motorola, it'll look a lot different.

At some point you will be prompted for the System Password, which is on a label on the side of your RG.

as you see, the wireless interface is Disabled.  That shuts it down.  If you want to leave it on, but reduce the power, scroll down to the bottom and reduce the Power Setting from 400 mW (the max).

Either way, be sure to click Save when you're done.
