Some time ago after a system update the blue LED remained ON but that has been fixed. It's happened 3 or 4 times, the last being yesterday afternoon where I find the blue LED ON when the DVR is OFF. The Uverse service guy came over today and switched out my DVR for one that worked. The first one was a Cisco DVR and the one he replaced it with was a Motorola. I have only had Uverse for over 3 years and so far I have had to have the RG replaced 2 or 3 times the DVR replaced once. Today the vip 1220 would not operate properly. I did all the reboots, etc. and nothing worked. Happend to have another non-att power supply and tried that and it worked. Called ATT to get new power supply and they told me to go to the store and buy one...

This is a problem that I didn't even know was possible. We had a brief power outage during a terrible storm on Sunday, April 26. Got replacement receiver on 2nd TV and installed it yesterdaty. Now my main TV shows the error - Account Unavailable - this set top box doesn’t match account settings.
