Save recorded programs when swapping U-Verse DVR

When replacing/upgrading U-Verse DVR, is it now finally possible to save recorded programs?

Not yet.  When moving within a local U-verse market, you can keep your DVR, thus preserving your recordings.  But you cannot transfer recordings from an old DVR to a new DVR, even if the old DVR has not yet failed.

What I did when I swapped out my 1216 for eventually a 2250, I watched all the Network shows or made sure they were on VOD.

Then I knew almost every 'cable' channel program would be repeated, usually b4 the next 'new' episode, or somewhere else on the schedule.

Then I would re-record them. 😉
