Receiver keeps cutting out

a week ago my receiver was working just fine...i have no new services, no change in providers or anyting of the sort...same equipment---no changes in the TV or anything else---blu ray player and netflix/amazon still working fine...but after about ten minutes the receiver completey shuts off (does not affect netflix/amazon).  i've rebooted the receiver and the internet connection and it still keeps cutting out.  the wireless receivers in the upstairs bedrooms are still working fine.  what could be the issue?

It could just be equipment failure.  Another possible issue is overheating (if in an enclosed space, especially with gear like audio amplifiers), or power issues.
