Certain phone calls says balance too low

I switched my att prepaid sim card to my Verizon phone and just paid my unlimited plan balance. Everything is working except certain phone calls will tell me my balance is too low? I can call some people but others I can't, but my balance isn't low I just paid it and when I log in it says I'm not due again until December 5th. What's going on?

Most likely the numbers are non US and require a per minute charge.

Same issue here. The problem number is a NY area code and I'm calling from a NY area code. I've seen a lot of people with the same issue, but no solution.

I'm not sure you read my post. My balance isn't the issue.

We appreciate your response @fzfrank

To gather a better understanding of the specific NY area code you're trying to call, we'd like to know more:

  • Is the particular number associated with the contact list on your cellphone?
  • If not, is it a 1800 number or a number to a business or company?
  • Are you able to make calls to other numbers besides the main number you're having problems with?

Provide us more specific details to help determine the cause.

Thank you.
