25¢/minute plan, voice mail and texts

I have the $30/month plan. I only use it for incoming and outgoing calls. I don't use voice mail (i.e. I never listen to any voice mails left for me.) I don't send texts and I don't look at incoming texts.

If I change to the 25¢/minute plan, will I be charged for voice mails left for me (I never listen to them) or incoming texts (I never read them)?

Hello @llbishop,

We can definitely provide you with some more information about our 25¢ per minute wireless plan. This plan includes nationwide calling at a rate of 25¢ per minute. You will not be charged for voicemail, but text messages are charged at 20¢ per message sent or received, and picture/video messages are charged at 25¢ per message sent or received. Let us know if this helps.

Hi @llbishop

Yes, that should do it.

Thank you. And thanks for the link; I noted the path. I looked for ~15 minutes for a page like that without success. I'm not usually that dense.

Follow up: Looks like there is no way to block incoming texts on my old LG flip phone. Would changing the Message Center Number stop incoming texts?

@llbishop611 is a free call from your phone.

I believe you can ask for text to be blocked on prepaid

lizdance40: I found this AT&T website article about blocking. My old LG phone doesn’t have this ability.

Sean & Darais: Exactly what I need.

Thank you all. I'm impressed with the responsiveness here.
