Unsolicited text message about completing a registration
Both of our AT&T-based prepaid phones received unsolicited, unexpected, unexplained text messages that say:
MSG:Complete your registration by returning to the site and entering: Registration number: 90932
What is this registration? We have not been to any site to start a registration, at least nothing that seems pertinent. Are we being spammed, scammed, or flim-flammed, even by AT&T?

Did you recently sign up for our prepaid services? If the device was bought in store, the store associate may have begun registering your online account.
If you do believe you are receiving scam messages, please report the unwanted texts or forward it to 7726.

No. The phones have been in use since 2016 or before. No recent changes either.
This has been forwarded to 7726.
Another thread in this forum did indicate that the messages are a scam, but it is probably a guess.
