Connection issue with Nokia 6 (TA-1089)

Re: Connection issue with Nokia 6 (TA-1089)

Hi, @darshil,

Thank you for the post. There is a tower in that area undergoing maintenance. If you power down your device completely for thirty seconds before turning it back on, it might be able to make a fresh connection with a closer, stronger tower, but this is in no way guaranteed. Maintenance is expected to be finished on the tower by April 22.

Let us know if we can assist with anything else.

Hello James,

The issue i am facing is for the entire Twin Cities area. I tried
restarting / switching off and then re-starting my phone a few times. But
it was of no use.

If you have a TA-1089 you are seeing compatability issues and will more and more as they shift things to VoLTE which you can not use at the moment.

Re: Connection issue with Nokia 6 (TA-1089)

I get network connectivity when i am in Hudson, WI. However, as soon as i
move to MN side the connectivity goes away. I am not sure how does that get
affected by phone model or bands covered by the phone. Can you please help
explain that to me. Thanks for your feedback till now.

Each tower can have different bands.  I see LTE bands 4,5,12,30 on my drive home from work.  I also see 3g bands 850/1900 in that drive.  If your phone does not support all these bands 850/1900 UMTS for 3g and bands 2,4,5,12 or 17 are a must BUT bands 29,30 and 66 would be nice to have but are NOT needed to get full LTE.

Re: Connection issue with Nokia 6 (TA-1089)

Hello there @darshil!

A number of factors such as signal strength, terrain, and weather can result in poor cellular connection. Try resolving your experience by rebooting your phone (power off then on) or resetting your device's network settings:

From the Home Screen select Settings > Backup & Reset > select Network Settings Reset > Confirm the operation by tapping Restore Factory Network Settings.

We hope this info helps.
