Hey @amyolson,

If you already have the device you’ll be using, then all you would need to do is acquire a new SIM card at your local AT&T retail store. If you would like to acquire a new tablet device, you can do so by upgrading your current line.

I can show you exactly where to go so you can verify your upgrade eligibility! Hopefully we can get you up and running with a brand new device.

To verify eligibility, the first step we would need to do is get you logged in to your myAT&T account. After that please complete the following steps:

  1. Go to myAT&T > Wireless > Check Upgrade Eligibility.
  2. Upgrade eligibility options for each line on your account will be displayed.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If the device is eligible for a standard upgrade, check the box Upgrade this device > Upgrade.
    • If the device is not eligible for a standard upgrade, select See options. Upgrade options including any eligible shared upgrades will be displayed. Select how you would like to upgrade and follow the prompts to continue.
  4. Follow the prompts to select your new device, accessories, and features. We strongly recommend you add Device Protection to insure your new device against damage and loss.
  5. Follow the prompts to check out and submit your order.

You can find additional information about upgrading your device directly from our website.

Enjoy your new device!
