I recently ordered a new phone from AT&T online. During the order process, I checked a box stating that I would like to take advantage of the AT&T Trade-In program and return my old phone for a credit to my mobile account.
When I received my new phone, I found a label inside the box with instructions for returning a device. I understood this to mean that this was for the Trade-In program and used the label and box that my new phone was shipped in to return my old phone to AT&T. However, a few days later I received another package from AT&T that contained a separate envelope and instructions for returning a phone for the Trade-In program.
What happened to my old phone? Will I get credit for returning it, even though it apparently didn't go to the right place? If not, is there anything I can do to get it back and/or get it to the right place?
