Why no rewards for being a long term customer?

I went to a local store this weekend to upgrade all three of my phones that I have with ATT.  I have been a customer for nearly two decades and it has been at lease 5 years since I upgraded the phones.  I have two old iphones and one android.  The rep at the store was rude and basically just waited until I asked questions.  When I asked about promos, he noted that you could get $750 off one phone if you bought two of the same maker and new lines. (which would be the two iphones). The problem is this only works for new customers who need new lines.  I don't.  I have 3 already obviously.  I can get rebates like this at Sprint and Verizon for being their new customer and verizon has existing customer promos so I am getting ready to switch.  I don't get why ATT doesn't want to keep and reward long term customers.  You don't want my business it seems.

Hello @FFB442

We thank you from the bottom of hearts for your 20 years of being with the AT&T Family, and it saddens us to hear about your recent experience. Allow us to offer a helping hand!

Please know that some current promotions do require adding adding a new line to an existing service, or the new start of wireless service in order to use the BOGO offers.

If you have had your device for quite some time and is interested in upgrading, you can access our AT&T Trade-IN website to see the current value of your iOS and android devices. From there, you can get an instant credit or a reward card that can be applied as a down payment for a new Device Upgrade.

Also, we recommend taking advantage of our AT&T Thanks/Rewards Program where you can score exclusive perks and offers for just being a part of the AT&T family.

We hope this info helps, and thanks for reaching out to the community!

ATT

My phones are so old that they have minimal if no trade in value. You are still rewarding new customers over old ones. That is not right. Look for me to be
leaving ATT and changing to Verizon or T-Mobile in the next month and then maybe in a few years I'll be back when you reward me for being a "new customer"too.

It only seems like you reward customers for not being loyal. So I won't be.
