I want to buy an unlocked LG Venture X phone and add it to my existing ATT line. Based on my research I would lose some functionality like wi fi calling. However after two chats with ATT support I am told that is not true. I was told by ATT I would have the same functions. Can you resolve this for me. Thanks
We can definitely answer that question for you. The LG X venture does support Wi-Fi Calling, and most unlocked phones will support Wi-Fi calling as well, as long as they are AT&T branded. If the unlocked wireless device that you're looking to purchase is not AT&T branded, it will not support Wi-Fi Calling. You can Learn how to bring your own phone to AT&T here. Let us know if this helps.

Not sure how this can be marked as a solution. ATT says bring your own device that you love. Well, maybe one of the things we love is the WiFi calling feature that ATT say to bad for you, you pay for our services just like everyone else but were not going to provide you with the same service. If all the services are not available then we should get a discount on the plans since we don't get full use of the plans. The moniker ATTCares is not reference it's customer but themselves. Just saying, corporate greed, and complete disconnect with its customer base.
