The IMEI you entered does not appear to be an AT&T wireless phone or tablet

Hello, I'm trying to unlock a Moto Z on the AT&T Consumer Device Unlock Portal (https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/) page, I am getting this error when I tab out of the IMEI Number field and can't proceed with the unlock request:

Error: We found no record of the IMEI Number you entered. Check your device's 15-digit IMEI Number by dialing *#06# (errorCode.ULP2003)

I am absolutely 100% positive that I am entering the 15 digit IMEI number correctly. I am entering the IMEI number returned when I dial *#06#.

and I bought the cellphone with you guys, AT&T

Can you help me?

The phone has an ATT Death Star boot animation?  If not, it isn't an ATT phone.

Moto Z is not an AT&T branded device. Last Motorola phones AT&T had were the Nexus 6 and Moto E/G/X series.

It has the ATTMX control software.

I read another reply with the samd problem. Tha guy said that he send a FB
message to ATT, they asked for their name, model and IMEI, later he
obtained the code in a mail.

Could you help me? I'm 100% it is an ATT mobile.

Ah, not the US model, not sold by ATT US.  This was sold by ATT Mexico, so you have to contact them.
