The IMEI you entered does not appear to be an AT&T wireless
When i try to unlock my 2 devices buyed i receive this message "The IMEI you entered does not appear to be an AT&T wireless phone or tablet. Please re-enter the correct 15-digit IMEI number for your AT&T wireless phone or tablet."
Both cellphones are Alcatel Ideal and say the same. Boths are New and was buyed in a famous store. Can some body help me? and sorry my english :S

This phone is sold as a Gophone and is subsidized by ATT. You are required to complete 6 consecutive months of paid Gophone service before ATT will unlock the phone.

This is my 3rd Alcatel Ideal i buy one for me and dont have problems to unlock here. This 2 are for my son and wife and when i request the unlock was recently buyed too

Att sells these devices subsidized and is trying to close the loop hole that allowed them to be unlocked without use.
If you want an unlocked phone, return the gophones and purchase an unlocked phone from Best Buy. They have a very nice selection that are not tied to a carrier.
