Status of UNLOCKED phone compatible with GMS and CDMS after AT&T activation

I am purchasing a Samsung Galaxy S930 which is UNLOCKED and compatible with all carriers on either the GMS or CDMA networks.   When I activate this device with my current carrier, AT&T, please confirm that it will NOT be locked to the AT&T GMS network. Thank you.

It’s GSM, not GMS but as noted above, an unlocked phone stays unlocked. It should not lock to any carrier. @kdfederer Unless the phone is used, no one to my knowledge sells new branded phones unlocked so I would say just the opposite. If it is an ATT branded phone, it is likely locked. Any unlocked non branded phone won’t lock to ATT.

If it is truly unlocked, it should not get locked to AT&T. If it is an unbranded phone, it might lock to AT&T.

Thank you for your input. I hesitated to activate the device until I received some response.  I am still uncertain if by using my  current carrier's SIM card if that will lock the non branded phone to their network.
