Recent update

I have a Samsung Experience 8.5, Android v 7.1.1.  I recently downloaded your update and my whole phone has changed.  It will also just randomly restart itself.  I've had no issues with this phone before the update.  I also can't speak to text a message.  Is there a way to restore without dumping all my info?

Hi @dmcdonald1234,

I am sorry you are having trouble after downloading an update.  I am definitely pleased to check into this for you!

I completely understand how important it is for your phone to work right. I am going to suggest clearing the cache partition on your phone. What kind of Samsung are you using? The directions to wipe the cache partition are as follows.

Turn off the device.

Hold down these three keys:

Volume Up

Home

Power

When the phone vibrates:

1.    Release the Power key.

2.    Continue to hold down the Volume Up and Home keys.

When the Android system recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.

Press the Volume Down key until wipe cache partition is selected.

Press the Power key.

Wait until reboot system now is selected.

Press the Power key.

I hope this helps!

Have a fantastic rest of your day!
