Receiving 'Invalid QR code' for ATT mobile transfer when upgrading from Nokia Kumina to iPhone 7plus

Receiving 'Invalid QR code' for ATT mobile transfer when upgrading from Nokia Kumina to iPhone 7plus.  Both phones are on the same Wifi.  I even uninstalled on my Nokia Lumina and reinstalled the app; still the same error.  Help!

Hello @drcolgreen,

Upgrading to a new phone can be very exciting. I am sorry you are encountering issues while attempting to transfer your information. I’ll be more than happy to assist!

First we will want to ensure the Nokia phone doesn’t have a case or anything on the screen which would prevent the QR code from being read. Cleaning the screen using your preferred method can help with this.

Checking for software updates on your Nokia can help as well. This is because the Mobile Transfer app requires Windows 10 or above to be compatible.

Checking the camera on the iPhone is another important step. Make sure it can focus properly. If you haven’t transferred any information you can attempt using a QR reader on the iPhone with a different QR to test it out.

I hope this information is helpful! You can always find additional information and resources on our AT&T Mobile Transfer Page.
