I am upgrading my phone, and my old phone uses micro-sim, while the new phone I am getting uses nano-sim. Is there any way to have information such as my phone number transferred over to the new SIM card so I don't have to get a new number? Or is there nothing that can be done? Just curious. Once you activate a new SIM card, your phone number goes with it. There’s no need to complete a transfer process. Your SIM card provides service as well, so your plan will be recognized by the new phone. You can activate your SIM card online anytime at att.com/activate.
