No HTC M9 Sync with Windows 10 computer after AT&T Nougat update

I have a HTC M9 that has been working correctly syncing with my Windows 10 computer.

I received update from AT&T (Android version 7.0).

The update installed correctly but now the phone will not sync with the computer.

The HTC Sync Manager activates but then displays a screen that says "Update Needed  This device needs to connect with the latest version of HTC Sync Manager. Please check for update of download."

When I checked for an update it says that I have the latest version.

I tried downloading from the HTC site and manually installing the software.

But the version was the same and had no effect.

Tried rebooting both devices but no help.

Tried disabling battery saver but not help either.

Still unable to sync devices.

Hi there @ByronH!

The HTC Sync Manager is definitely helpful to take advantage of with your HTC phone. I would also be concerned if this installed download was not working after an update.

I suggest rebooting your device first. By powering your phone off and back on, this can assist it to refresh its system. I would also suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the Sync Manager from your PC. You can select My Computer from the Start, and select Uninstall or change a program button when a new window is prompted. Right click HTC Sync Manager then click Uninstall. HTC Sync Manager will be uninstalled from your computer.

After you uninstall the program, restart your computer and re-download the program here. Once the download is complete, you can go ahead and start the sync again. If you are still experiencing problems, I recommend contacting HTC Support.

I hope this is found to be advantageous. Have an excellent day!
