Hello @Haus_of_Holt

Thank you so much for the great questions, and feedback regarding this update.  It seems that many of you have been able to successfully download the newest Marshmallow OS for the M8 and M9, but if you are still having issues, please see the info below.

M8 Release Details

M9 Release Details

We have heard the feedback about the large requirement of free space needed for the install and have sent this to HTC.  At this time, HTC has advised that the free space required to download M8 and M9 are 1212.5MB (M8) and 1552.88MB (M9).

Once the package is downloaded, the installation requires 150MB (which was already reserved during FOTA download).

Although not supported by AT&T, HTC has advised that customers can sideload the update to bypass the large storage requirement.

Here is the link for your information:

Please contact HTC if you have any questions regarding the below information. Sideloading will wipe your device and restore to factory settings.

M9 - http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m9-att/news/

If you have other Marshmallow related questions, please join the discussion.  We will announce all future Marshmallow info here.

Hello! @Haus_of_Holt

Thanks for posting your question.

I’m afraid we do not have a release date for Marvelous Marshmallow for the HTC one M9 at this time, but we are working hard to bring the Marshmallow update to as many Android phones as possible.

In the meantime, please feel free to visit us at www.att.com/esupport/softwareUpdates.jsp for information on device updates.

Thanks,

Rachel,

Are you aware that every other carrier has released the update for this phone already?  Can you give us any indication of when this may arrive on AT&T?

Yeah, I've really been underwhelmed with the lack of response from both parties. HTC and AT&T seem to be directing inquiries about this to each other in a not so lovely cluster circle.

This whole lack of update has made me quite angry!

On the one hand, it's only a phone.

One the other hand, this is a major update that EVERY other carrier has for the HTC M9!!!

Yes, At&T, you were beat out by T-Mobile, Speint, and the slowest update carrier of them all...Verizon. How embarrassing! Yet, you don't seem to care.

When I call AT&T, there are reps who have no idea what I'm even talong about!

One told me that Marshmallow was released for the M9 on Feb.25th. Another told me that it was released at this time LAST YEAR!!!

This is sickening!

The M10 will be out within a month or so. This whole fiasco has made my mind up to switch carriers.

Nobody cares. It's just plain sad...and quite pathethic.

Anyone from AT&T looking at these?  The only post is from someone that claims to be from AT&T and it the one and only post from that person.

Is there an email list I can get on so I don't have to keep searching in disapointment?

I do have to correct myself... I clicked on the original poster.  He only had one post.

*Don't post with little sleep*

I still want to know where my update stands.

Another week has gone by and still no response from AT&T. Everyone else on every other carrier has had the update for a while now. Please show us AT&T that you care about your customers.

I can understand not giving schedules.  Things happen and they always do.  In this case the update has been relased everywhere, except AT&T.  I was looking for something like "We ran into an issue and we're working on it and hope to have it out soon."  I know you can't put a date on it.  Just knowing something IS in the works, and that it may come out soon.  At this point I feel the update has been scrapped and I shouldn't have left Verizon.

In some cases no news is worse bad news.
