If you're done with your CONTRACT you can cancel, if you're not done, there is a fee.
If you have a phone on Next you need to pay it off (it's only interest free monthly payments as long as you are a customer). If you are planning to use the phone with another carrier, it's best to pay it off before you cancel.
If you are the account holder you need to transfer to someone else before cancelling.
