Do you need credit to pay monthly on phone?

Just as title says, was wondering if you need good credit to pay monthly for a phone?

You do have to be deemed credit worthy to qualify for an installment plan. You may be required to put down a down payment.

Good afternoon @DylanUndead!

Thank you for your interest in AT&T service! We have a lot of great phones available and provide excellent coverage with high speed data. I am more than happy to help you with getting service and a phone as soon as possible!

When starting service either at an AT&T Store or ordering online any additional requirements like a deposit requirement will show near the end of the order.

If you have a working phone which is unlocked to use on any network, you can use this page to see if your phone with work with us.

AT&T Prepaid service does not require a credit check. Here is a page with the information.

I’m glad I could help. Thank you and have a great week!

Read post #3, it explains how to sign up for service. Either go to an ATT store or order online at att.com.

Me and my husband have been on my sons plan for years. We now need to get our own plan, but do not have good credit.  Is it possible to get on our own plan?

@TONIKBP62 Yes, it is possible. You won’t know until you try. To move your lines from an ATT plan to your own plan, you need to process a transfer of billing responsibility.
