Buying a new iPhone from Apple

I’m currently doing monthly payments on a phone but would like to buy a new iPhone from Apple, fully paid off and unlocked. Am I allowed to sell my current phone to Apple and buy a new one, while continuing to pay the monthly payments on the old one?

In other words, can I buy an unlocked phone and sell the one I’m paying off to Apple, while still continuing to pay ATT for that previous phone?

Yes, it is you’re phone. You can do whatever you want with it. All ATT cares about is you finish paying for it. There is no requirement to use that phone, you can either pay it off or continue with the monthly payments.

@amrzy8

Just know you still have to pay ATT.  And Apple may take the phone in trade, but probably not for what you owe on it.
