About LG G5 H820 Oreo Update
Good morning
An apology for the post, I saw that there is one similar, but does not stir all my doubts.
I have the LG G5 H820. I bought it new by ebay, with the at & t version, I currently use it in Mexico.
I have a Telcel chip (Mexico) and try to update the software, because I had read that the version of oreo arrived.
Specifically H82030a.
Clearly the update could not be done that already shows that it is already updated.
My question is if I have to buy a US AT & T chip and connect to the AT & T network while in the USA.
Or can I buy an AT & T chip in Mexico, and just go to the US to connect to the network and I can update it?

You will need an AT&T SIM card and be in the USA to update the phone.

I have AT&T LG G5 and AT&T service (and of course ATT sim). I have not gotten ANY update since March 1 2017 security patch. I am so mad at AT&T coz I am not allowed to download from anywhere but OTA and it doesn't recognize there is an update. As per software update page, this phone should be on Android 8 and sec update of Aug 2018. I have March 2017 sec update and Android 7.0
