Can anyone tell me if I can make calls, receive calls, and text on my tablet.

All tablets have a number. It is not used for calls. Facebook messenger calls are made via your Facebook email address, similar to iPad or iPod touch using Apple ID to call with FaceTime, or text with iMessage.

you can use hangouts to make calls with the tablet.

But those calls will use DATA

Using apps like Skype, yes. Otherwise no.

My tablet has its own number and I made a call using facebook messenger. So I'm thinking with some kind of app I should be able to do this. Am I wrong thinking this.
