how do I find my router configuration page?

My wireless HP printer is suddenly offline and it instructs me to enter a pin number (which it gave me)in my router configuration page, but I don't have a clue as to what this means. Can someone help me figure this out without having to call tech support?

Hey there @CoffeeKat!

Wireless printing is the best invention! I know I can’t live without it; I would love to help you out today!

If you’ve never been to the router configuration page, I have another route that I would suggest.  The easiest way to get the printer back online is to go to the HP website search for your model number (usually found underneath the screen on the printer) and look for software downloads. From there download the HP software and run the set-up from your computer.

What this does is it transfers the wireless settings from your computer back to your printer. Please note you need a USB A/B printer cable to do this. One might be in the box, but if not they are readily available at most stores.

If this doesn’t work for you, I would personally recommend you contact HP or your router manufacturer. I recommend this because networking can be tricky and if you are not comfortable with command prompt or other tools, it is best to talk with the experts.

Please keep us updated, hope you can get back to printing soon!

I was excited to try this...everything downloaded and installed, the little blue light on the wireless icon went from flashing to steady, it said everything was ready and installed....and nothing. No printing. So I just hooked up my printer cable again and print the old fashioned way. So...nice try but it's not working and I give up on trying to deal with it.

And my original question was never answered...how do I access the router configuration page (assuming I want to bring another level of stress and frustration into my life?)

This link was EXACTLY what I was looking for! (Okay, truth be told, I found it but I'm afraid to use it...afraid I will mess something up, but if I ever get the courage to go for it at least I know where to go 🙂 Thanks for your patience.
