how can I connect a 2g camera to my personal hotspot

I have a wireless WiFi camera that I want to operate with my personal hotspot   How can I reduce my signal to 2g to allow the camera to link with my iPhone e 7?

Greetings @Chuckfred,

Personal hotspots are very useful, I would be happy to share some information and help you out!

The WiFi camera you’re trying to connect, does it only allow you to connect to data on 2G services or is this the way you’d prefer for it to connect?

You do have the ability to prevent it from connecting to anything below 3G once it is paired with your iPhone. This will need to be configured on your phone under Settings > Cellular > Enable LTE > Off. Please keep in mind however, this disables 4G LTE for your iPhone too as long as it is switched off. At this moment, a specific data toggle for hotspots is not available.

I hope this helps! Have a great day.

Why would a Wifi camera need a 2G network?  Apples and oranges...

That is not how you connect a Wifi device to a hotspot anyway.  It connects the same as it would to any Wifi connection and it has nothing to do with your cell signal.
