Wal Mart Activation

Hey guys, I'm interested in ordering an AT&T phone with contract from Wal Mart.  However, on Wal Marts website, it says this:

 

"You will NOT lose service while your new device(s) is in transit. Your device(s) will activate once FedEx delivers to your door."

 

It will activate upon delivery?  Can anyone confirm if the activation process is different for wal mart orders?  Normally you activate the sim yourself, not anything else.  I want to make sure because I am using an upgrade on a different line, so I don't want them to activate that line on the new phone.

It won't activate automatically, you'll need to activate the phone once you get it.
