Velocity Hotspot Question

Our Velocity MF 923 is our way of streaming live TV and also for our internet.  We are living in an RV and stay stationary.  We have DirecTV Now for our streaming provider.  For some reason, our local TV channels change and I go from our locals here in the Houston area, to either other cities in the state or even (lately) I'm picking up Seattle, WA local channels.  Numerous times we've reached out to AT&T to fix our issue(s).  They and DirecTV Now have been able to reset our device and/or account and sometimes it's worked.  Repeatedly, I've been asked to get our provider (AT&T) to give us a more static IP address that would match our billing address (we're told this can't be done).  For some reason, the IP address is bouncing off of different towers and changing our locals.  Any advice?  We are at our wits end.

Hey there @champyun!

It’s difficult for services to locate your Velocity MF 923 which, unlike certain phones or tablets, lacks a GPS to tether it to a specific location. Most likely, your device is appearing to derive from a location outside the Houston area, thus, the reason your device is assigned specific local channels from various cities.

Try resolving your experience by resetting your device.

We hope this info is useful!

I reset the device, took the DirecTV Now app off of my TV, put it back on, logged in, reset my Roku Stick and I'm still receiving Seattle, WA local channels.  Does AT&T have any idea how I can get a more static IP address (that matches my zip code)?
