Trying to request device unlock

I’m trying to request a device unlock, but it keeps getting denied because it says I didn’t confirm it, even though I have confirmed it. This has happened twice. Is there a fix to this or another way to unlock it?

Greetings @SupremeLeader!

We would like to advise that as of April 29, 2019, confirmation emails are no longer required for device unlock. Please check the status of your request and if you receive no updates please resubmit your Device Unlock Request.

We hope this info helps.

Yes, I meet all the requirements.

I tried to submit an unlock request yesterday and I confirmed the email. But today I got an email that said they had to cancel my request because I didn’t confirm it with 24hours.

I have tried it 3 times and keep getting the same email even though I confirm my request

I tried again and got the same email. It says “looks like you didn’t confirm your request”

i checked the current status and it’s denied, description say “ looks like you didn't confirm your request so we had to cancel it. The link we sent you was only good for 24 hours“

Hi @SupremeLeader

We'd advise checking your junk mail folder to see if the confirmation was sent there. Please let us know.

I'm having this same issue, I keep confirming it via the link sent through email and upon clicking it, its acknowledge via website "Thanks for Confirming!". Its a little frustrating given there is no other way to notify or seek assistance other than through this thread which does not look very helpful. Is there any other route to request a device to be unlocked?

Same with my current experience trying to get a 2nd hand (USA purchased ) iphone 5 unlocked to use in the UK with my giffgaff sim. I get the email, I click confirm, it says thanks for confirming then 24hrs later I get an email saying I didn't confirm. I clearly  did. Anyone got a sensible solution please? Can't be this hard surely

was your device ever unlocked?

Yes I did, however I had to use the plan holders phone to send the request as my number and email (which is tied to the same plan and authorized user) kept having issues as I stated above. Hostly would be nice if AT&T would just fix and simplified this process for the future.
